Oldham Co. native becomes rising star in bourbon industry

An Oldham County native is being called the first woman in Kentucky to be named master distiller in decades, possibly since Prohibition. The move is a part of a shift in the demographics of the industry, says Michael Veach, bourbon historian for The Filson Historical Society. He says women were involved in the 19th century, but did not dominate the trade. Full story
